2 Chronicles 20:17

You will not need to fight in this battle. Stand firm, hold your position, and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, and the Lord will be with you.

We have been praying for the Lord to open doors and light the path we are on.  In the midst of this, we received word from the lawyer handling our legal settings with Warrior180 that he was overwhelmed with an ongoing case and could not give the time needed to further assist us.  We truly felt the breeze as the door slammed (or at least our human side thought) in our face.  What now Lord?  What is the lesson?   Where do we stand?

‘Stand Firm – almost as audible as the world around us. Stand firm and have faith – it is in MY Hands and I am aware’

DEEP BREATHE

We received an email from the Army, which said they are considering a separation date for Jeff (in civilian terms – termination from the Reserves). Not only is this completely unexpected news, but it has major financial ramifications attached to it.  Our government insurance and our income, at this time is solely connected to his monthly drills.

Philippians 1:27

Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel

DEEP BREATHE

This morning, as we started our journey through a day that felt like it was covered with thorns and thistles, the Lord began opening our paths.  As calls were made to military ‘higher ups’ on the chain of command,  we found it will require loads of paperwork (and prayers) to change, BUT it is not a decision set in stone.

We searched for lawyers online and made calls.  No one, of course was/is available to speak to us, but will call us back.  Lunch was PRAYERS …. Hit it again Lord. We made a call to an organization that works with 501c3 organizations.  The gentleman we spoke to was Bob.  He asked what type organization we wanted to create and we shared Warrior180 with him. His son is an airman with deployments – and He began quoting scripture:

Psalm 34:18 The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.

Psalm 147:1 He Heals the Brokenhearted. Praise the Lord!

Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.

(Oh Lord, these are the men and women we want to help – to turn their brokenness around and place their feet on the path with you, Lord Jesus)

Tears running down our faces – Lord you led us here, to an organization that, not only will help us with our legal settings, but offered for us to call anytime for prayer and encouragement. They have grant writers, web designers (we already have the best one) corporate sponsorship assistance, webinars, blogs … now at our fingertips.

Lord we admit at times we feel weighed down with roadblocks, unanswered calls and emails.  We forget that we are instruments of yours – that you are the arm moving the hand – not the other way around. We confess we forget that we have the full attention of the Creator of the Universe. “You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.  You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.  Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.  You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.   Where can I go from your Spirit?  Where can I flee from your presence?”  Help us keep our eyes on you – not our situations.  Help us to keep your word in our heart and praises on our lips.
